Job Purpose

As an entry level Process Engineer applies basic knowledge of technical problem solving techniques, monitoring and analysis to routine engineering tasks.

Job Summary

This is an entry level professional role for a recent Process Engineering graduate. Assists and supports a range of tasks under supervision and guidance. Uses specialized technical equipment/systems, or analysis software. Has basic understanding of engineering and design codes and standards of operations that are applied to achieve technical reliability and integrity objectives and maintain consistency in the application of procedures.

Education

Degree or Diploma combined with relevant experience

Experience

0-2 years experience with Degree or 7 years experience with Diploma is desirable

Job Responsibilities

1. Complies with all relevant HSE standards and seeks to ensure a healthy, safe work environment and working practices at all times

2. Reviews basic Process designs with relevant stakeholders for accuracy and conformance to procedures, working under supervision

3. Supports the plant and relevant equipment; recommends necessary engineering or maintenance interventions to improve performance.

4. Assists with troubleshooting of unit problems in their area of responsibility supporting specialists and more senior engineers.

5. Monitors and reports on daily tasks and assignments and routinely updates records in-line with established procedures.

6. Assists with review of basic process data and identification of changes to improve performance of process units or equipment.

7. Observes engineering processes and practices to develop understanding of required procedures and standards in the Company.

8. Assists with tasks of clear scope and complexity applying engineering knowledge of relevant codes, regulations and standards.

9. Assists with completion of basic engineering activities and documentation under the supervision of more senior engineers.
