Job Purpose:

• Operator to provide day-to-day routine operation activity to ensure uninterrupted production and safe operation of the plant, and troubleshooting of process problems across multiple operation areas in the plant.

Role Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure safe, smooth, and efficient performance of the unit to achieve key performance indicators and objectives as per procedures and instructions.
• Responsible for the safety of the plant and personnel on shift to control incidents/accidents during shift.
• Monitor any deviations in normal plant/equipment running and troubleshoot plant’s operation to take corrective actions and optimize plant performance as per guidelines.
• Check operational parameters and analyze them to implement changes as required.
• Update and follow up on all maintenance and other jobs with all other service departments.
• Plan and update preventive and turnaround maintenance and notify the planning department in a timely manner.
• Ensure the effective implementation of loss control policies and procedures in shift.
• Request attention from concerned support sections directly or through other staff whenever needed.
• Coordinate, control, and follow up on all maintenance activities in the plant and with outside agencies.
• Issue work permits and follow up on maintenance-related activities.
• Issue mandatory shift reports as per established practices and procedures, and ensure personnel records and files are properly maintained and updated.
• Handle, control, and monitor start-up, shutdown, and plant upsets/emergencies safely and efficiently.
• Contribute and participate in the successful completion of plant improvements, shutdowns, and MOC.
• Perform E.R.T. responsibilities as stipulated in Loss Control Procedures and act as an emergency response team leader in case of emergency.
• Control, minimize, and monitor flare losses and waste generation.

Qualification and Requirements:

• At least 8 years of operational experience in an HDPE plant or polymer plants.
• Diploma graduate.
