Operator to provide of: Day to day routine operation activity to ensure uninterrupted production and safe operation of the plant Trouble shooting of process problem crosses multiple operation area in the plant. POSITION SPECIFICATION Define the typical knowledge and experience required for the position. Include technical or specialized knowledge and experience, supervisory or managerial skills and experience, human relations skills and any professional qualifications/certifications required. Formal Education/Qualifications Required: At least 8 to 12 years operational experience in PDH Plant (Catofin) or relevant. Level & Type of Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required: Function Specific: Skills Required: • PDH Plant (Catofin) or relevant. Process trouble shooting. • Systematic execution of operating procedures. • Knowledge of industrial safety and housekeeping. • Written and Spoken English • Qualified in DCS (panel). • PC literacy Business/Industry Specific: 8 to 12 years experience in petrochemical industries (preferably from Ibn Sina, Ibn Zahr or Advance). Support PDH operation team on day to day routine, shutdown/turnaround and plant safety activity. Process trouble shooting KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Tasks for which this position is responsible and deliverables for which they are accountable. 1. Monitor and Ensure safe, smooth and efficient performance of unit to achieve key performance indicators and objectives as per procedures & Instructions. 2. Responsible for safety of plant and personnel on his shift to Control Incidents/accident during shift. 3. Supervise & conduct normal operation activities, Safety walk/talk & ensure product quality all time 4. Monitor any deviations in normal plant/equipment running and trouble shoot plant’s operation to take corrective actions and optimize plant performance as per guidelines. 5. Check the operational Parameters and analyse it to implement changes as required. 6. Give instructions to subordinates for work and any corrective action to be carried out during shift. 7. Update & follow up all maintenance and other jobs with all other service department. 8. Plan and update preventive & turnaround maintenance and notify timely to planning department. 9. Responsible to ensure the effective implementation of loss control policies and procedures in shift. 10. Requesting attention of concerned support sections directly or through other staff whenever needed. 11. Coordinate, control and follow up all maintenance activity in plant and with other outside agencies. 12. Issue work Permits & follow up Maintenance Related activities. 13. Issue mandatory shift reports as per established practice & procedures and ensure that personnel records and files are properly maintained and up dated. 14. Handle, control and monitor the start-up, shutdown & plant upsets /emergency safely and efficiently. 15. Contribute and participate in successful completion of plant improvements, shut downs & MOC. 16. Performs E.R.T. responsibilities as stipulated in Loss Control Procedures and acts as an emergency response team leader in case of emergency. 17. Control, minimize and monitor flare losses & waste generation. 18. Coordinates with Royal commission and other outside party for flare losses & waste management. 19. Identify team and individual’s limitations and develop contingency plans to address any short fall. 20. Coordinate on the job training for new team members & enhances knowledge of existing personnel. |
